First of all, i wish you all a very happy and great 2020.
Yesterday we visited the Orchideeënhoeve in Luttlegeest.
The Orchideeën Hoeve has become the largest tropical attraction in Europe. By placing the ingenuity of nature in the spotlight in a thematic way, more than 250,000 visitors experience and experience annually how plants and animals survive, seduce and collaborate. This year the family business has been in existence for no less than 100 years.
The Orchideeën Hoeve covers 25,000 square meters and consists of the Orchid Garden, the Amazon Rainforest, the Lorituin, the Butterfly Valley, the ‘Floating’ Flower Garden, the Mangrovebos Speelparadijs, the Citruslaan, the Jungletheater the Makirijk, the meerkat garden, a modern store, a atmospheric conservatory restaurant and orchid farm. The family business is run by the brothers Thomas and Jeroen Maarssen – the fourth generation of gardeners family Maarssen – and has been awarded by the ANWB for several years in a row as the “Best outing in Flevoland”.
